Where have you been? You ask? It's Monopoly!

Well, I am still alive by the way. After I have joined to the other world of gaming --> Mobile.
It took up 5 times more of my time to learn and explore the new world.

I have not forgot about this blog, and since someone remind me again today, I will update about what I was doing from August to December.

I am currently working for a Korean company under the gaming department. Although I am just a novice for everything in this world, I have been take care well and a lot of things has been learned quickly.

One of the project that I am now involved, is still about board game, and yes it's like monopoly.
This is somehow surprising that monopoly can be turned into a boardgames and so many people like it. For the developers, they are ultra smart to mix the card and characters with special power into the game.

The luck is then minimise by the control and the strength of your characters, this is something that can never be done on the table version, where the dice can be partly controlled.

For the winning, they have 5 ways of winning, and it's not all about making your opponents bankrupt but also buy your household smartly. (by buying 3 coloured zones, a whole line or all the tourism spots)
Well, I am totally surprised by this game, since it's not yet so popular to the American or World Market. The game is well designed and same for the business model where you can spend some money and become stronger and it's not really 100% winning too. This game definitely has a chance to hit the EU market if it is well promoted.

Well, it may looks easy that it's only a monopoly from the boardgamer view of it, if you take all the element that "how monopoly can be shortened into 10 mins and the variety ways to play and win" this is much more important and why the Korean think of this and design a good game with good money making model behind it.

That's all from me today.
See you next time, Happy new year
